English B1 Part 1: Intermediate Consolidation & Narrative

About The Course
This course marks the beginning of the Intermediate B1 level, where you gain independence and flexibility in the language. The primary focus is on mastering two crucial tenses: the Past Continuous (to describe ongoing actions in the past) and deepening the use of the Present Perfect Continuous (to talk about recent activities). You will learn to form complex sentences using common connectors (because, so, although), and refine your comparative language with adjectives and prepositions. The content expands to discussing jobs, careers, and media, enabling you to express opinions and talk about your life in a more descriptive and nuanced way.
What You Will Learn
Master Past Continuous: Use the Past Continuous to describe simultaneous and interrupted actions in the past.
Use Present Perfect Continuous: Discuss activities that started in the past and continue or have recently stopped.
Link Ideas: Use conjunctions (so, although, because) and discourse markers to connect sentences and form coherent paragraphs.
Discuss Work & Career: Use a wider vocabulary to talk about jobs, interviews, and professional aspirations.
Refine Comparisons: Use more sophisticated adjectives and prepositions in comparative structures.
